Parrott-Griffin

The wedding of Shelly Jane Parrott and Christian McCoy Griffin was performed by the Rev. Lance Parrott, the bride’s brother, at 6:30 p.m. July 31, 2010, at Dogwood Farms, the home of the bride’s parents, in Alvaton.

The bride is the daughter of Jane and Shelby Parrott of Alvaton and the groom is the son of Stephanie and Steve Griffin of Danville, and the grandson of George Anne and Morris Lowe of Bowling Green.

The wedding attendants were Shelly Parrott and Christian Griffin. Matrons of honor were Medley Borders Baumgartner of Ponte Vedra, Fla., and Amelia Riehm Cook of Bowling Green. Bridesmaids were Taylor Broderick, Mandy Lannert, Ami Johnson Mitchell, Rebecca Parrott, the bride’s sister-in-law, and Helen Borders, all of Bowling Green, Jessica McCubbin Culp, cousin of the bride, of Cibolo, Texas, and Ann Blair Moss, cousin of the bride, of Somerset.

Best men were Alex Griffin, USAF, brother of the groom, of Valdosta, Ga., and Morgan Griffin, brother of the groom, of Highland Heights. Groomsmen were Jeff Freedman of Bonita Springs, Fla., Corey Aumiller of Lexington, Nathan Fuqua of Boiling Springs, S.C., Cliff Wilson of Danville, Jared Hartley of Lutherville, Md., and Matthew Gootee and Patrick DuPerrieu, both of Bowling Green.

Azurie Mitchell, daughter of Ami and Kris Mitchell, and Addison Rife, daughter of Helen Borders and Mike Rife, were the flower girls, and Bennett Baumgartner, son of Medley Baumgartner and Steve Baumgartner, was the ring bearer.

There was a reception afterward at the home of the bride’s parents.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Bowling Green.
