Garmon Hatcher

HORSE CAVE — Garmon Hatcher, 70, of Horse Cave, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Oct. 6, 2010, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green after a short battle with cancer.

The Barren County native was a member of Horse Cave United Methodist Church, Antique Tractor Click, the Horse Cave Heritage Festival Committee and Cave City Masonic Lodge No. 790 F&AM. He was active in the Relay for Life Antique Tractor Drive and retired after 25 years as supervisor for Eaton Corp. He was a son of the late Ernest Hatcher and Louise Riggs Hatcher of Horse Cave, who survives. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Douglas Hatcher.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Other survivors include his wife, Sue Skipworth Hatcher; a son, Jeff Hatcher and his wife, Julie, of Horse Cave; a daughter, Kim Hatcher of Horse Cave; a granddaughter, Jamie Hatcher of Horse Cave; a brother, Dwayne Hatcher and his wife, Pat, of Cave City; two sisters, Linda Poynter and Gail Coats and her husband, Doug, all of Horse Cave; and several nieces and nephews.
