Darlene Motley, 57, of Bowling Green, passed peacefully with her family at her side at 7:43 a.m. April 29, 2010, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

The Warren County native was a homemaker. She was a member of First Friday “Wisdom” group and St. Vincent dePaul. She was a daughter of the late Kenneth Holman and Phyllis Herald Harris. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Priscilla June Holman and Rita Wimp; and a brother, Tony Holman.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Motley; a son, Ron Taylor, of Smyrna, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Leigh Anne Massey and her husband, JV, of Bowling Green; a stepson, Chip Taylor and his wife, Stephanie, of San Francisco; two grandsons, Corey Massey, of Bowling Green, and Riley Taylor, of San Francisco; a sister, Diane Sledge and her husband, Randall, of Bowling Green; two aunts, Brenda Lawrence and her husband, Billy, of Smiths Grove, and Sonja Jewell, of Bowling Green; three uncles, Veachel Holman and his wife, Pauline, of Smiths Grove, Donald Herald and his wife, Virginia, of Louisville, and Danny Herald, of Bowling Green; a great-aunt, Nellie Bailey, of Indiana; a great-uncle, Hardin Holman, of Oakland; and several nieces and nephews.
