Date Night at Easy To Love

Published 12:00 am Thursday, April 8, 2010

Remember your first date?  Sure you do.  The high anxiety of meeting the parents, awkward silences, the arm maneuver at the movies and that weird goodnight kiss. If you’re of a certain age, you’ll probably remember the romantic music that shaped a generation.  Classic tunes by America’s romance kings became the soundtracks of love, playing in the background of sweethearts and broken hearts.

Maestro Jeffrey Reed and Orchestra Kentucky, vocalists Jennifer Brennan-Hondorp, Tracey Moore, Tim King, Christopher Burchett and the Orchestra Kentucky Chorale, present Easy to Love, a concert filled with amorous melodies that will surely stir those special memories.  From Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and Andrew Lloyd Webber, this evening of music is guaranteed to make you fall in love all over again.

“This music really does take people back to their memories of love,” said Maestro Reed. “Whether it was that first love or the moment you found the love of your life, these tunes bring back the warm and fuzzy,” he continued.

The playlist includes some of the most popular love ballads ever written, including Some Enchanted Evening, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Hello Young Lovers, With a Song in My Heart, Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered and People Will Say We’re in Love.

Make a date with your sweetheart and take a trip down memory lane at Easy to Love, April 19th at 7:30 pm at Living Hope Baptist Church.  Don’t miss the coffee chat with the Maestro at 6:45.  Tickets for Easy to Love start at just $10!  Call 270-846-2426 or visit www.OrchestraKentucky.com.
