POLICE NEWS: Bowling Green man arrested for allegedly fondling 13-year-old

A Bowling Green man was jailed Thursday on an allegation that he fondled a 13-year-old girl.

Timothy Lee Heltsley, 50, 1500 Bryant Way, Apt. B1, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. Thursday at his apartment and charged with first-degree sexual abuse.

According to a Bowling Green Police Department arrest report, officers responding to a disturbance talked to the 13-year-old, who said that Heltsley approached her, winked at her, rubbed her neck and shoulders and touched her breasts.

Heltsley admitted rubbing the girl’s neck and shoulders and told police he may have accidentally touched her breasts, the report said.

Heltsley remains in Warren County Regional Jail under no bond.

Arrest — Brittany G. Fields, 21, 429 Church St., Apt. 1, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Thursday at Walgreens, 1145 U.S. 31-W By-Pass, and charged with criminal possession of a forged prescription.

According to a city police arrest report, Fields attempted to pass a forged prescription for hydrocodone at the pharmacy. The prescription had been altered from 10 pills to 20.

Fields told police she knew the prescription had been altered, the report said. She was released Thursday on a $5,000 bond.

Arrest — Nicholas Beck, 23, 2910 Sharon Drive, was arrested in the 300 block of West Sixth Avenue and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

According to a city police arrest report, Beck pulled a butcher knife on a man during an argument with him. A witness reported that Beck threatened to cut the man with the knife, the report said.

Beck remains jailed under a $1,000 bond.

Burglary, criminal mischief — Someone broke into a residence in the 1100 block of Kentucky Street and stole two tables and several items of clothing between 7 p.m. June 18 and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a city police report. Entry was gained by breaking a window on the front door and unlocking the deadbolt from the inside.

Theft — Someone stole $350 from a wallet in the 1100 block of Adams Street between 2:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to a city police report.

Theft — Someone stole a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo parked in the 600 block of Spruce Court between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $7,000.

Theft — Someone stole a washer and dryer, two riding lawn mowers, a push mower, a microwave, a television and two car ramps from an apartment in the 400 block of Gary Avenue between midnight Monday and 3 p.m. Thursday, according to a city police report.

The victim told police that the mattress for a waterbed in the apartment had also been damaged. Losses and damage totaled $2,450.
