POLICE NEWS: BG man killed in four-wheeler accident

A Bowling Green man was killed early this morning in an accident on an all-terrain vehicle in Edmonson County.
Bobby Joe Watt, 21, was driving a Honda four-wheeler on Bridge Road in Edmonson County when he left the right side of the road in the 700 block about 1:45 a.m. this morning, according to the Kentucky State Police.
The ATV struck a tree and Watt, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the state police.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Indictment — Nora Lacayo of Russellville was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of making false statements to special agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and distributing fraudulent international driver’s licenses and Kentucky identification cards.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky, the three-count indictment alleges that in 2007 and 2009, Lacayo transferred two sets of ID documents that were produced unlawfully, and that she made several false statements with a federal ICE agent about her alleged activities.
Conviction on all charges could result in 20 years in prison, a $750,000 fine and supervised release for three years.
Arrest — David Earl Green Jr., 30, 1152 Brookwood Drive, was arrested at 5:51 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Parkhurst Drive and charged with second-degree assault.
According to a Bowling Green Police Department report, Green was involved in a fight with Timothy Fox, 51, of Bowling Green, the stepfather of Green’s wife.
The report indicates that as Fox tried to run back into his house on Parkhurst Drive, Green grabbed him, threw him down in the yard and punched him in the head multiple times. The report said that Green then hit Fox in the back of the head with a statue grabbed from the porch as Fox attempted to get up.
Fox suffered a scratch to his face and a large cut to the back of his head, but refused to be transported to a hospital.
Green remains in Warren County Regional Jail under a $10,000 bond.
Arrest — Matthew Thomas Baucum, 18, 1580 Moorman Lane, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Thursday in the 3400 block of Louisville Road and charged with unlawful distribution of a meth precursor and failure to appear in court.
According to a police report. Baucum was served with warrant for failing to appear in Warren District Court. During a search, police found a bag containing an empty box of pseudoephedrine, the main ingredient in methamphetamine.
He remains jailed under a $250 bond.
Burglary, criminal mischief — Someone broke both front windows of a 1999 Ford Expedition and stole two pairs of prescription sunglasses from a van parked in the 3300 block of Kami Drive between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to a city police report.
Losses and damage totaled $1,000.
Burglary, theft — Someone stole several pieces of jewelry from a residence in the 1500 block of Grinstead Way between March 1 and July 15, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $6,194.
Criminal mischief — Four units at Village Green Apartments, 1132 Fairview Ave., sustained water damage to carpet and flooring after someone stuffed towels, rags and dryer lint down the drains of two sinks and turned on the water, according to a city police report. Damage totaled $6,000.
Forgery — Someone used a counterfeit $100 bill at Shady Ray’s Pawn Shop, 221 Gordon Ave., between 9 a.m. and 9:47 a.m. Tuesday, according to a city police report.
Theft — Someone stole a 1993 Toyota Camry, a cell phone and a pair of sunglasses from outside a residence in the 1300 block of Blue Lake Way between noon and 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to a city police report. The car, valued at $4,000, was recovered at an apartment complex on Rock Creek Road.
Theft — Someone stole a push mower worth $500 from the Bowling Green Municipal Utilities parking lot, 801 Center St., between 9 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to a city police report.
Theft — Someone stole a 2001 Audi A6 parked in the 100 block of River Tanmer Way between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Monday, according to a city police report. The car contained a cell phone and a Bosnian passport. Losses totaled $7,651.
Theft — Someone stole an MP3 player, a GPS unit and a pair of sunglasses from a 2003 GMC Envoy parked in the 800 block of Steeplechase Way between 7 a.m. Monday and 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $700.
Theft, criminal mischief — Someone broke the front driver’s side window of a 2009 Kia Sedona parked outside Starbucks, 2808 Scottsville Road, and stole 50 DVDs, and AC adapter and a dual DVD player between 2:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to a city police report. Losses and damage totaled $1,020.
In a separate police report, another person at Starbucks reported that someone broke into his 1996 Nissan Sentra parked outside the coffee shop between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. Thursday and stole a digital camera, an Apple iTouch and the face plate to a CD player. Losses and damage in that incident totaled $1,150.
Theft, criminal mischief — Someone stole speakers, an amplifier and two GPS systems from a 1996 Jeep Cherokee parked in the 2600 block of Navajo Drive between 12:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to a city police report. Losses and damage totaled $1,680.
Theft of mail matter — Someone stole a check for $125 from a mailbox at Christ United Methodist Church, 716 Cave Mill Road, between 2 p.m. July 20 and 8 a.m. July 21, according to a city police report.
Theft of registration plate — Someone stole a license plate and decal from a pickup truck parked in the 900 block of Morgantown Road between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a city police report.
