LEWISBURG — Violet Louise Stinson, 85, of Central City, died at 12:53 a.m. Aug. 18, 2010, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

The Todd County native was born Oct. 10, 1924. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and Sharon Grove Homemakers. She was a daughter of the late Horace Tatum and Flossie Mae Tatum and the wife of the late Vester Ford Stinson Sr. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Chris Stinson.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Price Funeral Home, with burial in Gant Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Paulette Harris of Madisonville; a son, Ford Stinson of Dunmor; eight sisters, Mary Latham, Lorene Rutherford and Verbie Shanklin, all of Elkton, Ruthel Robbins of Lewisburg, Josephine Souel, Jesse Martin and Virginia Carrol, all of Clarksville, Tenn., and Betty Jean Webb of Guthrie; a brother, Curtis Tatum of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
