James Allen ‘Jim’ Williams

BOWLING GREEN – James Allen “Jim” Williams, 85, of Bowling Green passed peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Vernon, KY to the late Hubert and Nelda Marie Branstetter Williams and grew up in Smiths Grove.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Williams and a niece, Kami Ramsey.
He was a retired letter carrier and served as representative of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Jim was a member of Greenwood Park Church of Christ. He served on the city county Planning Commission of Warren County. He was involved in many college and high school sports which he loved.
His survivors include his wife Kitty Wells Williams, three daughters, Natalie Williams, Kristina Wise and Cherie Hampshire (Scott); one son, Nathan Williams (Amanda); four grandchildren, Austin Wise (Ellesse), Shelby Wise, Christopher Monticelli (Chelsea) and Joey Monticelli (Michelle); four great grandchildren, two brothers, Johnny Williams (Beth) and Mark Williams.
Jim’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Bowling Green Special Olympics, 225 E. Third Ave., Bowling Green, KY 42101; American Cancer Society or National Kidney Foundation.
