NEW CASTLE, Ind. — James “Jim” Allen McCutchen, 53, of Bowling Green, Ky., formerly of New Castle, died Dec. 17, 2007.

The New Castle native was born Jan. 23, 1954 to Robert and Eva Catron McCutchen. He attended Chrysler High School in New Castle before graduating in Ft. Eustis Virginia. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved the mountains, and also enjoyed four wheeling. He was employed at the General Motors Corvette Plant in Bowling Green and was formerly employed for several years at Firestone in New Castle. A veteran of the United States Army, he served during the Vietnam War where he was a helicopter gunner. He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his family.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, with burial in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Jenna McCutchen and her fiance, Branden McKinley, of New Castle; a granddaughter, Kyah McKinley; a companion, Kristi Correll of New Castle; two stepdaughters, Alyssa and Tawni Correll, both of New Castle; his mother and stepfather, Eva and Richard Fox of New Castle; his father and stepmother, Robert and Joyce McCutchen of Cumberland; three siblings, Delina Carter and her husband, Jim, of New Castle, John Fox of Rockford, Ill., and Leann Massengale of New Castle; a stepsister, Sandy Alexander of Indianapolis; two aunts, Vena Bell and Norma Bea McCutchen, both of New Castle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
