Janet and Mark Chitty of Walpole, Mass., announce the birth of a son, Ryan Mark, on Oct. 25, 2004, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Senior Airman Jonathan W. Phillips, son of Donna Solberg of Bowling Green, has been selected for reassignment to Kunsan Air Force Base in South Korea. He joined the Air Force in Feb. 0f 2002, and has been stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Montana since July of 02. SrA Phillips departs for Korea on June 1st of 2005 and will serve 1 year overseas before returning to the states. He is a 2001 graduate of Warren Central High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael A. Ballard has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

He is the son of Connie Wells of Lewisburg and grandson of William Ballard of Clarksville, Tenn.

Ballard is a 2004 graduate of Logan County High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Bryan E. Pardue has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

He is the son of Deanna Pardue of Russellville and Tim Star of Escondido, Calif.

Pardue is a 2004 graduate of Logan County High School.

Cpl. Patrick L. Bowles ws recently named Marine of the Quarter at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station.

He was also named Marine of the Quarter for COMMCAB West (Marine Corps Air Command-West Coast).
