SCOTTSVILLE – Philip R. Calvert, 70, died at 10 a.m. Sept. 28, 2007, at his residence.
The Allen County native was a Korean War Army veteran, a farmer and a former employee of Haxby News. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and Trace Golf Course. He was a son of the late William David “Bill” Calvert and Virginia Dotson Calvert.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, with military rites by the Barren County D.A.V. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine R. Calvert; two sons, Philip Ray Calvert and Patrick Wagoner, both of Scottsville; two daughters, Pamela Lee Dugas of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Mechele Calvert Dallas of Portland, Tenn.; a brother, David Calvert of Scottsville; six grandchildren, Kelly Jo Mays, Brittnie Dugas, Daughtry Graves, Rhealee Drummond, Courtney Dallas and Kailex Dallas; a special niece, Shelia Marr of Scottsville; and a special nephew, Eric Calvert of Scottsville.
