Verneda Alline Clark Dunn, 86, of Alvaton died at 3:41 a.m. Sept. 21, 2007, at her home.

The Macon County, Tenn., native was a retired cook and sales clerk for Roses, Castner-Knott, Kings and worked at Western Kentucky University. She also worked on the family farm, was a homemaker and a baby sitter. She was a longtime member of Greenwood Park Church of Christ and was most recently a member of Woodburn Church of Christ. She loved sewing, cooking and baby-sitting. She was a daughter of the late Barney D. Clark and Christine Meador Clark and the wife of the late James M. Dunn. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, William and Herman Clark; and two sisters, Eunice Clark and Effie Driver.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include four sons, James W. Dunn and his wife, Carole, of Bowling Green, Joe Dunn and his wife, Jackie, and David E. Dunn and his wife, Shelia, all of Alvaton, and Fred Dunn and his wife, Tammy, of Woodburn; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Dunn, Greg Dunn, Jeff Dunn, Karrie &#8220Missy” Dunn, Melissa Dunn McMillen, Michael Dunn, Fred Dunn, Adam Dunn and Amanda Dunn; and eight great-grandchildren, Kelly Dunn, Amy Dunn, Cameron Dunn, Makenzie Dunn, Mallory Minnicks, Jackson Thomas McMillen, Reese Hudson McMillen and Fredrick Dunn.
