Please don’t drink at our high school games

Why even bother with all the slogans? Every day you see slogans for SADD or MADD, Say no to dope, etc. For the last seven years my family and myself have been attending sporting events for Warren County schools. Mostly those involving Warren Central. No matter which county school or city schools the event has taken place at, I have always had to witness parents coming to these events to watch their children, grandchildren or children of friends play a sport while these parents are very visibly intoxicated either by alcohol or drugs.
You either smell the alcohol on them or you can tell by their actions they are very much under the influence. It is always the same ones, too.
What example are these parents trying to set for their children? What example is the school or law enforcement (always in attendance) setting? I always thought drugs and alcohol were prohibited from school property in any capacity.
Maybe the mighty dollar wins again. Pay admission, do as you please. Just make sure you teach your children the dangers of drugs and alcohol. After you sober up – it has more effect that way.
It is hard to tell your children not to drink while they can smell alcohol on you.
Please come to your children’s games, a lot of parents don’t. When you come, please come sober.
You are making a lasting impression not only on your children but other children as well. If you are going to place a ban, do it on allowing public intoxication at your children’s sporting events.
It’s their game, not yours.
