SCOTTSVILLE – The Rev. William M. Johnson, 56, of Scottsville died at 6:40 p.m. EST Aug. 28, 2007, at University of Louisville Medical Center.
The Smiths Grove native was the former owner and operator of Johnson Radiator Repair and a farmer. He was a son of the late Curtis Johnson and Camilla Todd Johnson.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Combs Lane United Methodist Church, where he was a member and served as a pastor for many years, with burial in Combs Lane Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home and begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Wilson Johnson; a son, the Rev. Curtis Monroe Johnson and his wife, Tammy, of Scottsville; two daughters, Diana Marie Cannon and her husband, John, of Scottsville and Martina Delane Smith and her husband, Danny, of Brownsville; five brothers, Jesse Ray Johnson, Donald Leon Johnson and his wife, Shirley, Harold James Johnson and his wife, Liz, and Larry Mitchell Johnson and his wife, Mary, all of Brownsville, and Darrell Johnson of Bowling Green; six sisters, Betty Poteet and her husband, Oren, and Martha Massey, all of Brownsville, Doris Jean Hawks, Judy Lorene Davenport and her husband, Dennis, Darlene Elmore and her husband, Brent, and Arlene Perkins and her husband, Jonathan, all of Bowling Green; five grandchildren; a foster son; a stepgrandson; 23 nieces and nephews; and 19 great-nieces and great-nephews.
