A Bowling Green man accused of stabbing one of his relatives was indicted Wednesday by a Warren County grand jury.

Frankie Oneal Lemons, 57, 1339 Clay St., has been charged with first-degree assault. Police on Dec. 19 found Randy Thomas Lemons, 41, laying in front of Apartment E-1 at Western Apartments on Clay Street with a serious injury after being stabbed behind his left ear, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report. Randy Lemons lives in the apartment complex where he was found.

Randy Lemons was taken to The Medical Center and eventually transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville before being released.

The incident occurred when Frankie Lemons became upset after Randy Lemons had gotten into an argument with Frankie Lemons’ sister, according to the police report.

Police found a trail of blood leading from where Randy Lemons was found to the back porch of Frankie Lemons’ residence, according to the report. Two witnesses said Frankie Lemons put bloody clothes into a washing machine and washed a bloody knife in the sink, though both were intoxicated, according to the report. Blood was found on Frankie Lemons’ arm and shoes.

Frankie Lemons bond was set at $25,000 and he is to have no contact with Randy Lemons. He has not posted bond at this time.

Jenny Louise Davis, 50, 1791 Old Louisville Road, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, $10,000 cash bond.

Patrick Oneal Hopkins, 37, 5936 Bristow Road, Oakland, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, $10,000 cash bond.

Nicholas Ray Hudson, 28, 295 Freeport Road, Oakland, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree persistent felony offender, $50,000 cash bond.

Thomas Edward Heltsley, 51, 3908 Blue Level Road, Rockfield, first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, bond information unavailable.

Michael Lynn McCathren, 21, 1231 Indianola St. Apt. A., first-degree possession of a controlled substance, operating on a suspended license, bond information unavailable.
