INDIANAPOLIS – Francis Elmore Graves, 81, of Indianapolis died June 15, 2007.
The Westmoreland, Tenn., native was born Feb. 13, 1926. Francis worked in assembly and testing for Allison’s division of G.M., retiring in 1980. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a son of the late Bishop E. and Julia Graves and the husband of the late Gracie Idell Walker Graves. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Sherielyn Schauer Marvin and Francis Burgess and Chantil A. Hofer; and a brother, James Graves.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. EDT Monday at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Home, Washington Park East. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. EDT Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Mavis Jane Schauer and her husband, Tony, of McCordsville, Ind., Gracie Frances Glentzer and her husband, Paul, of Greenfield, Ind., and Patty Milana Smith and her husband, Michael, of St. Louis; a sister-in-law, Edna Hunt of Adolphus; four grandchildren, Toby Schauer, Tony Burgess, Jason Biss and Adrienne Jersan; and six great-grandchildren, Alexis and Tabitha Schauer, Skye Smith, Anjali Biss and Madeline and Lillian Jersan.
