Thomas Mitchell Kinser (Mickey)

BOWLING GREEN — Thomas Mitchell “Mickey” Kinser, 83, passed away peacefully at the Medical Center Bowling Green on October 26, 2024. He was born on September 16th, 1941 to Betty Lou and Edward Arnold Kinser.

Mickey grew up in Bowling Green, KY where he graduated from Richardsville High School and went on to attend the Western Area Vocational School. Mickey opened Kinser’s Heating, Air, and Sheet Metal in 1961. He was also an accomplished farmer and animal lover.

Mickey was raised Methodist and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

Mickey was married to his loving wife Ruenell for 47 years. They enjoyed traveling the world over the years and loved horseback riding and having fish fries for family and friends at the river.

Mickey was preceded in death by his father, Edward Arnold Kinser, his mother, Betty Lou Kinser, brother Charles Gary Jr. and his son, Thomas Shane Kinser. Mickey is survived by his wife Ruenell, his daughters, Kim Propes (Anthony) and Jennifer Shuffett (J.D.); His grandchildren, Andrea Nicole Kinser, Clayton Shuffett (Holly), Zachary Shuffett (Claire), Ryan Propes (Crystal), Dylan Propes, Samantha Detweiler (Lonnie), and Terry Mitchell Kinser. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

He was so loved and will be greatly missed.

His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family request in lieu of flower donations be made to the American Cancer Society
