It looks as if Western Kentucky’s first-ever Division I-A recruiting class is making the grade, especially from an in-state standpoint.

All 11 recruits from the state of Kentucky who signed with WKU this month were selected to play in the Kentucky-Tennessee all-star game this summer in Lexington.

WKU’s in-state recruits include three from Bowling Green – Ryan Beard, Avery Hibbitt and Casey Tinius – as well as Warren Central’s Wes Jeffries.

Owensboro supplied the Hilltoppers with a pair of All-Stars in Ben Duvall (Apollo) and Paul Millay (Owensboro Catholic), while Trent Calhoun and Braxton Miller were both teammates from Stanford (Lincoln County).

Other team members who signed with the program include Wenquel Graves (Bardstown), Clark Jeter (Henry Clay) and Tristan Jones (Clark County).
