RUSSELLVILLE Jeannie Posey Underwood, 53, of Lewisburg died March 24, 2001, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.The Evansville, Ind., native was a teachers aide at Lewisburg Elementary School, an Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 29 and United Methodist Temple, where she participated in United Methodist Women, church choir and bell choir and was a Sunday school teacher, and was a volunteer for several organizations, including Relay for Life and home school programs. She was a daughter of Wayne K. Posey and Jewell Workman Knowles, both of Russellville, who survive.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Temple with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Sanders Funeral Home and from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the United Methodist Temple, 395 S. Main St., Russellville, Ky. 42276.Survivors include her husband, Wilson C. Underwood; three sons, Wayne Underwood of Auburn, Michael Underwood of Russellville and David Underwood of Lewisburg; two daughters, Sherri Warta of Auburn and April Underwood of Richmond; six brothers, John Posey of Sharon Grove, Larry Posey of Henderson, Jerry Posey of California, Mike Posey of Texas, Kenneth Posey of Nashville, Tenn., and Stuart Posey of Rockfield; and two grandchildren.
