Dorothy Marshall Hines, 96, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Bowling Green, died Jan. 23, 2001, at a Nashville nursing home.The Paxton, Ill., native was a homemaker and a member of Christian Science Society. She was a daughter of the late George A. Marshall and Zoe Elizabeth Rearden Marshall and the wife of the late Jewell George Logsdon and the late M.C. Hines.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Nashville Humane Society, 112 Harding Place, Nashville, Tenn. 37203 or Bowling Green Humane Society, 1925 Louisville Road, Bowling Green, Ky. 42101.Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Barlous of Azusa, Calif., Nedra Massie of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Jean L. Paxton of Nashville; two sons, Frances Logsdon of Frisco, Texas, and Harold Logsdon of Haleiwa, Hawaii; a brother, Edward Marshall of Medway, Ohio; two sisters, Erma McCarty of Dayton, Ohio, and Mary Whitemoss of Plainfield, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
