I have been a salesperson for several years. After 9/11, sales took a drastic tumble that had me unsure if we could ever recover from. Not only was I sad for the victims of 9/11, but I was scared that the following years would cause a hardship that would prevent me from providing for myself and my son. In my lifetime, I have never seen such difficult circumstances facing our country. But George W., you have faced these circumstances admirably. Since you have taken over office, you have faced the most difficult issues and handled them with care and have made wise decisions about things such as stem cell research, late-term abortion and the economy. I appreciate the fact that the economy is continuing to grow. Over 1.1 million jobs have been added since last August (and 288,000 in April alone). My customers are buying equipment and their confidence is strong. The tax breaks youve given small business on purchases has helped my customers and myself. Though the decline of Americas morals seem to be unstoppable and we still suffer from the largest decline in history from our last president, I have hope for our future and my childs future. You have never wavered back and forth and pushed the envelope into gray areas in order to just get a vote. I respect you for that. A safer country, an optimistic economy and a brighter world to raise my son. What more can I ask for? While I dont agree with all of your policies, at least I know where you stand. I admire honestly and someone who lives by heart, rather than appeasing the masses. Thanks again for your integrity, honesty and passion for our country. You have once again made me proud to be an American. Sean M. LathamBowling Green Daily News ·813 College St. ·PO Box 90012 ·Bowling Green, KY ·42102 ·270-781-1700
