CAMPBELLSVILLE Former Western Kentucky University basketball coach Clem Haskins mother, Lucy E. Haskins, died April 14, 2002.The Adair County native was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late John Ike Smith and Eliza Groves Smith and the wife of the late Columbus Haskins. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Haskins Jr.Funeral was Thursday at Campbellsville Baptist Church with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lucy Haskins Memorial Fund and can be made at the church or the funeral home.Survivors include her children, Willie Haskins, Lummie Webster, Eliza Mable Tucker, Clem Haskins, Paul Haskins, Betty Winfrey and Joyce Haskins, all of Campbellsville, Sara Davis and Nora Haskins, both of Atlanta, and Merion Haskins of Richmond, Va.; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
