Herbert ‘H.D.’ Taylor

CENTRAL CITY – Herbert &#8220H.D.” Taylor of Central City died at 5:30 am. Dec. 1, 2005, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.

The Muhlenberg County native was born May 5, 1929. He was a retired coal miner and a member and deacon at Cleaton Baptist Church. He was a son of Helen Taylor of Central City, who survives.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Other survivors include his wife of 57 years, Luwana Noffsinger Taylor; three sons, Daniel Taylor and his wife, Celia, of Central City, Roger Taylor and his wife, Miriam, of Morgantown and Gary Taylor and his wife, Lori, of Hanson; two sisters, Peggy Bivin of Bremen and Donna Kimmel of Indianapolis; a brother, Charles Taylor of Portage, Ind.; six grandchildren, Rob Taylor, Carol Yarnell, Ryan Taylor, Tiffany Pullum, Chris Taylor and Nicole Taylor; and three great-grandchildren.
