CAVE CITY Velera Martin, 78, of Glasgow died April 23, 2005, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

The Barren County native was retired from Mammoth Cave Garment Co. and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Bluford Logsdon and Gracie Sturgeon Logsdon. She was preceded in death Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, with burial in Glasgow Memorial Gardens. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Sue Gentry of Glasgow, Patsy Hunt and her husband, J. W., of Albany Ga., and Peggy Hunt and her husband, Rusty, of Walterboro, S.C.; five sisters, Dorene Cooper, Carolyn Hatcher and Edith Hogan, all of Cave City, Margie Laird of Glasgow and Alveen Ritter of Laverne, Tenn.; a brother, Jr. B. Logsdon of Davenport, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
