WINCHESTER Arden Kidd Watson, 75, of Middleton, Pa., died Jan. 8, 2005, at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

The Malvern native was retired from teaching from the Lima Campus at Penn State University. She obtained a bachelors degree from Centenary College in Shreveport, La., a masters degree from University of Arkansas, a second masters degree from Western Kentucky University and a doctorate from Vanderbilt University. She was a daughter of the late Asa Harold Kidd and Sowania Kidd Fox.

Memorial service was Jan. 13 at Granite Farms Estate. Funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winchester, with burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Winchester Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or any charity.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Vertrees and her husband, Thomas; a son, Tajuana Watson and her husband, John; four grandchildren, Christine Sadler, Michael Vertrees, and Sara and Sean Watson; and two great-grandchildren, Lane Thomas Sadler and Riley Michael Sadler.
