Police officers responded to the intersection of Lehman Avenue and U.S. 31-W By-Pass at 7:28 p.m., where they stopped Richard Allen Wilson, 39, 8291/2 Old Mt. Pleasant School Road. According to the complainant, he and his girlfriend were driving on Scottsville Road when Wilson pulled up close behind him. Wilson then passed them and got in front of the car, where he repeatedly hit his brakes. The vehicles pulled up side-by-side at Shive Lane and Scottsville Road, and Wilson pointed a 9 mm pistol at them.
Wilson told officers he showed his gun, but that it was unloaded and he never pointed it at them. Officers found the gun under the car seat, and found a fully loaded magazine between the driver’s side seat and the center console.
Wilson was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail. He was released Saturday on a $2,020 cash bond.

Police responded to the victim’s apartment at 7:28 p.m. Friday, where she told them Gary Wayne Dorough, 31, 963 Evans Road, had kicked in the door. When officers entered the apartment, they found the woman lying at the bottom of the stairs, bleeding, and Dorough standing nearby with a large wooden coffee table in his hands. Police said he charged at them with the coffee table, and disregarded officers’ commands. After officers sprayed him with pepper spray, he hid behind a door, which officers kicked down because he was holding it shut, the report said. Dorough fell backward onto a couch and started screaming obscenities at the officers and tried to hit them.
He was handcuffed and taken to the Warren County Regional Jail, where he was charged with fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest and first-degree burglary. Dorough remains there in lieu of a $25,000 cash bond.

He drove from Clay Street to Morgantown Road, where it became apparent he was headed for a home from which he’d been issued a 1,000-feet stay-away order earlier Friday, according to the report. When he got to the home, he left his car and tried to run from officers, but was tackled and arrested. Day smelled strongly of alcohol, according to the report, and several empty beer cans were found in his car.
After he was treated at The Medical Center for an injury he suffered when officers tackled him, he was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail. Day is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, driving under the influence first offense, resisting arrest and violation of a DVO. He remains jailed in lieu of a $7,500 cash bond.
