Kohls department store will open its doors to Bowling Green customers in April.

The nearly 90,000-square-foot store has been under construction since summer on 11 acres on Gary Farms Boulevard near Home Depot.

Considered a discount department store, Kohls offers a variety of merchandise, from clothing to household items.

The opening of the store will bring with it 150 new jobs, which the company is seeking to fill now through a 24-hour job hotline. Job applicants can get a jump-start by calling (877) NEW-KOHL to begin the application process.

Kohls stores typically hire department associates, register operators, night-time ad set/price management associates, receiving associates, service desk associates, housekeeping associates and loss prevention associates, according to a news release from the company.
