TOMPKINSVILLE Mose Cary Dodson, 93, of Tompkinsville died at 9:25 p.m. May 24, 2005, at Monroe County Medical Center.

The Cumberland County native was chairman of the Democratic Party in Monroe County for 42 years; a former owner of Tompkinsville Motors, a Chevrolet dealership; former mayor of Tompkinsville; a farmer and a sawmill operator. He was a son of the late John Dodson and Gertrude Poindexter Dodson and the husband of the late Thelma L. Crowe Dodson. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at noon Friday at Strode Funeral Home, with burial in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and will begin at 6 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
