MORGANTOWN James H. Cardwell, 82, of Morgantown died Aug. 4, 2000, at Beaver Dam Health Care Center.The Kentucky native was a retired minister. He was the son of the late Ezra and Blanche Smith Cardwell.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where he was a member. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Survivors include his wife, Loretta Howard Cardwell of Morgantown; six sons, Howard Cardwell of Central City, Jimmy Cardwell of Baizetown, David Cardwell of Laredo, Texas, Tommy Cardwell, Maurice Cardwell and Philip Cardwell, all of Morgantown; two sisters, Christine Whitaker of Bowling Green, and Glodene Ried of Ft. Myers, Fla; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
