Van L. Grimes, 47, died July 11, 2003 at his home.The Hickman County, Tenn., native was the founder and pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship Church and owner of Van Grimes Toyota. He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee University. He was a son of Jessie Bryant Grimes and Mary Ruth Tarkington Grimes of Lyle, Tenn., who survive.Funeral will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Bailey-Turner-Winkenhofer Heritage Funeral Chapel, with burial in the Grimes family cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Other survivors include his wife, Sharon Scott Grimes; six daughters, Shannita Hill of Antioch, Tenn., Cortney Grimes of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Alicia Scott, Jacelyn Grimes and Jocelyn Grimes, all of Bowling Green; four sisters, Shirley Paden of Memphis, Tenn., Wanda Grimes of Bowling Green and Yvonne Grimes and Carol Demonbreum, both of Nashville; four brothers, James Grimes and Nathaniel Grimes, both of Nashville, Jessie Grimes of Louisville and Carl Grimes of Centerville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Martecio Hill and Brianna Hill, both of Antioch; and several godchildren.
