AUBURN Christine Tinsley Rowe-Hollins, 93, of Auburn died at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 13, 2003, at an Auburn nursing home.The Logan County native was a housekeeper, a member of Gasper River Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star No. 328, worked with Auburn Teen Town and was past department president of American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 258 and remained an active member. She was a daughter of the late Thomas E. Tinsley and Pearl Turner Tinsley. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ellis Rowe and Sam Hollins; a daughter, Betty Roe Doreting; and two sons, Ellis Rowe Jr. and James Barclay Rowe.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Young Funeral Home, with burial in Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today and will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Survivors include two daughters, Christine Rowe Ashby and her husband, Claude, of Auburn, and Polly Tyner of Randal, Calif.; a son, John T. Rowe and his wife, Donna, of Memphis, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
