Melissa Kaye ‘Katie’ Autry

Melissa Kaye Katie Autry, 18, of Pellville died May 7, 2003, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville. The Owensboro native was a freshman at Western Kentucky University and a member of Pellville Baptist Church. A graduate of Hancock County High School, she was a cheerleader and a member of the track team, Pep club, Beta Club, SADD, Dedicated Teens, Spanish Club, Reading Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FCCLA and TSA while attending the school. She was a daughter of Donnie Autry of Rosine. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with burial in Rosine Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pellville Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Other survivors include her foster parents, Jim and Shirley Inman of Pellville; a sister, Lisa Michelle Autry of Pellville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wavie Dewey and Peggy Sue Autry.
