SMITHS GROVE – Bobby Joe Williams, 75, of Smiths Grove went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The Warren County native was a son of the late Curtis and Lorene Young Williams.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie and Jimmy Ray Williams.

Bobby was a retired employee of General Motors, a member of Oakland Baptist Church where he was a volunteer in the Brotherhood who helped people in need of various projects. He also was in the Smiths Grove Lions Club and volunteered for Feeding America.

Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.

Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife, Alice Williams; his daughter, Melissa Hutchins (Travis); a step daughter, Courtney Cannon and step son, Caleb Cannon; five grandchildren, Abbie and Taylor Keen, Kayden Cannon, Makylie Tryon and Carter McBee; four brothers, Charles Williams (Faye), Tommy Williams (Sharon), Billy Williams (Barbara) and Johnny Williams (Gwen); two sisters, Judy Hopper (Steve) and Linda Hendrick (Bobby); two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Williams and Joan Williams; several nieces and nephews.

Bobby’s funeral service will be at 12 noon Saturday at Oakland Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m.-12 noon at the church Burial will be in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
