William David Ponzer, 58, of Bowling Green died at 10:01 p.m. Nov. 25, 2000, in Bowling Green.The Wynnewood, Pa., native was a retired marketing director who began his marketing career at Colgate before working as marketing director for the New Jersey-based Cosmos soccer team and as a marketing executive for Grey Worldwide and Esty Advertising in New York. He was a 1964 and 1968 graduate of Cornell University with a bachelors degree and a masters degree in business administration. He was a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity and the vestry of St. Augustines Episcopal Church in Croton-On-Hudson, N.Y.. He was a son of the late Howard Smith Ponzer and Mary Jane Cox Ponzer.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at The Episcopal Church. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Neill M. Myers Ponzer; three sons, David James Ponzer and Howard Smith Ponzer II, both of New York, and Rodes Myers Ponzer of Bowling Green; a daughter, Jessica Reynard Ponzer of Sparta, N.J.; a sister, Constance Ponzer Farquhar of Minneapolis; and a nephew.
