FRANKLIN – Jerry Wayne Herndon, 63, of Franklin died at 5:13 p.m. Feb. 13, 2006, at The Medical Center.

The Simpson County native was co-director of Simpson County Youth Camp and was a farmer in Simpson and Logan counties. He was a son of the late Charles Thomas Herndon and Eleanor Allen Herndon, who survives.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday at Franklin Church of Christ, where he was a member and elder, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the church. Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Other survivors include his wife, Deanie Herndon; two daughters, Jerilyn Dawson of Franklin and Annissa Warner of Rockfield; a son, Mitch Herndon of Carlisle, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Hayley Dawson and Brandon Warner.
