• Army Pvt. John T. Chapman graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

  Chapman is the son of William Chapman of Lewisburg.

  He is a 2005 graduate of Logan County High School.

  Jones, a 2006 graduate of Edmonson County High School, reports to Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., for active duty June 13.
