POLICE NEWS: Allen County man charged in connection with stabbing

Authorities in Allen County arrested Kevin Martin on Sunday morning on an attempted murder charge, more than one week after he allegedly stabbed a Scottsville man.
Martin, 30, of Allen County, is accused of stabbing Anthony Martin, 28, of Smiths Grove Road, Scottsville, on Dec. 12 during an altercation at 634 Carl Hurt Road in Allen County.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received information over the weekend that Kevin Martin was in the area near Richard Jones Road.
Deputies converged on the area and Martin was seen running across a field by Allen County Constable Jeff Farris, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Martin surrendered in the Dover Church Road area and allegedly stated that he acted in self-defense during the altercation.
Martin was released Monday from Allen County Detention Center on a surety bond.
Accident — Kristie Humphrey, 29, of Bardstown, was killed this morning in a single-vehicle accident.
According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Humphrey was traveling on Glenmoore Road at about 12:10 a.m. today when her vehicle left the road and struck a tree in the 300 block.
Humphrey, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
Arrest — Leslie Therese Licavoli, 22, 110 Sugar Mill Drive, was arrested at 11:12 a.m. Friday and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft by unlawful taking.
According to a Bowling Green Police Department arrest report, police responded Friday to Best Buy, 1875 Campbell Lane, on a suspected shoplifter call.
Licavoli was accused of taking two digital cameras from the store.
The report stated that Licavoli told police she had stolen the cameras to give to her mother. Police searching her vehicle found a pipe with marijuana residue and a prescription pill bottle containing four Oxycontin pills.
She remains in Warren County Regional Jail under a $2,000 bond.
Arrest — Monique Shiri Wright, 30, 410 W. Main Ave., was arrested at about 3:45 a.m. today and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (second or greater offense) and several traffic violations.
According to a city police report, an officer saw Wright driving a car on Old Louisville Road with an expired registration tag and no lights on the license plate.
Wright had no driver’s license in her possession and was unable to provide proof of insurance, according to the report.
During a search of the vehicle, police found a metal pipe with drug residue, the report said.
Wright remains jailed without bond.
Arrests — Delanea R. Bratcher, 30, 195 Ora Huff Road, and Brittany N. Daugherty, 25, 1367 Clay St., No. C-3, were arrested Friday in the 1300 block of Clay Street and charged with second-degree burglary, theft/receipt of stolen credit/debit card and fraudulent use a credit card (under $500 within a six-month period).
According to city police arrest reports, interviews with both women Friday afternoon revealed that each of them said the other entered a woman’s house and stole her debit card.
The victim’s boyfriend told police that he witnessed Bratcher inside his house Thursday while the victim was away.
Both women said the debit card had been used at more than one Bowling Green business.
Bratcher and Daugherty remain jailed under $2,500 bonds.
Burglary — Someone entered an apartment in the 400 block of East 13th Avenue and stole an MP3 player, a cell phone, sunglasses, a watch, a guitar, a wallet and $560 between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $2,237.
Burglary — Someone entered a residence in the 2700 block of Nashville Road and stole three rings and a bottle of prescription Phenergan pills between 8:30 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $2,320.
Burglary — Someone broke a window at Dr. Anson Hsieh’s office, 1402 Andrea St., between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, according to a city police report.
Nothing was taken from the office. Damage totaled $200.
Burglary, theft — Someone entered Buff Automotive, 2900 Louisville Road, and stole a 1993 Chevrolet Blazer, two handguns, $4,000 in cash and several car audio components, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $15,350.
Theft — A Bowling Green woman reported that someone stole her purse between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 13 while she was shopping at Greenwood Mall, according to a city police report.
The woman said she put the purse down to try on some clothes and later could not find it. The purse contained a cell phone and $400, the report stated. Losses totaled $740.
Theft — A 2004 Chevrolet Malibu that had been parked at Car Mart, 1930 Russellville Road, was found parked in the 200 block of Robin Avenue at 8:13 p.m. Sunday, according to a city police report. The car was valued at $5,000.
Theft — Someone stole a backhoe bucket from a construction site in the 900 block of East 10th Avenue between 5 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $800.
Theft — Someone stole a 53-foot trailer worth $38,000 parked at Universal Leaf, 410 Clay St., between Dec. 12-14, according to a city police report.
Theft — Someone stole a purse containing a checkbook from Walmart SuperCenter, 1201 Morgantown Road, between 1:45 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. Friday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $321.
Theft of mail matter — Someone stole a guitar effects pedal that had been delivered to a residence in the 100 block of Ridgewood Drive between 12:40 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $125.
