The wedding of Elizabeth Wells Cassady and Dr. Thomas Higgins Gann Jr. was performed by the Rev. Dr. Mark Hopper on April 25, 2009, at First Baptist Church.

The bride wore a strapless, cathedral-length gown and veil of imported ivory silk and carried a bouquet of vandella roses and white dendrobium orchids.

Mrs. Alison Parker of Birmingham, Ala., was matron of honor. Mrs. Sara Nix and Mrs. Melanie Anderson, both of Birmingham, were bridesmaids.

Dr. Brian Fuller of Auburn, Ala., was best man. Dr. Glen Gallaspy III of Mobile, Ala., Dr. Michael Mitchell of Picayune, Miss., and Dr. Cary Fu of Franklin, Tenn., were groomsmen.

Guest book and program attendants were Miss Susan Abell and Miss Sara Abell of Bowling Green.

There was a reception afterward at The Club at Olde Stone.

The couple took a wedding trip to Antigua. They now reside in Charlotte, N.C.
