Edmonson County’s run in the Region 3 Girls’ Basketball Tournament ended with a 75-48 loss to Owensboro Catholic in the semifinal round Friday night at the Sportscenter in Owensboro.

Shelby Sowders led the Lady Cats with a double-double, notching a team-high 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Cariann Williams also posted a double-double for Edmonson County (21-9), finishing with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Katie Hagan scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Lady Aces in the win.
