A Bowling Green man was sentenced to more than 16 years in prison for his role as a large supplier in a drug-dealing conspiracy.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky announced Monday that Scottie Starks Jr., 47, received a 200-month prison sentence in U.S. District Court after previously pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, two counts of distribution of meth, a count of possession of meth with the intent to distribute, a count of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Starks was one of four co-defendants charged in the conspiracy, and was responsible for trafficking more than five kilograms of meth and one kilogram of cocaine before being indicted by a federal grand jury in 2024, according to court records.

The other three co-defendants have all pleaded guilty following an investigation carried out by the Bowling Green Field Office of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Bowling Green/Warren County Drug Task Force.
