Allen County-Scottsville junior Avery Morris continues to rewrite the record books for Lady Patriots basketball.

Morris eclipsed the school record for career points previously set by Morgan Rich in a Feb. 17 win over South Warren. Entering the night needing 16 points to equal Rich’s mark of 2,433 points, she had 20 by halftime.

Morris, who finished the night with 33 points, said this was a team accomplishment.

“I push myself to my limits and my teammates do too,” Morris said. “I appreciate that from my teammates. I couldn’t do it without them or my coach. It’s made me proud to be a part of something that is that big at Allen County.”
