Lady Tops wrap up first day at Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

The Western Kentucky women’s golf team competed in the first day of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational hosted by Mercer on Friday in Eatonton, Georgia at the Great Waters Golf Club.
The Lady Toppers completed the first round with a score of 310 (+22) and got through 11 holes of the second round before play concluded for the day. At the end of the day, WKU is sitting in 11th place with a 29-over score.
Second round action will resume on Saturday once the rain in the area clears out. The third round will be played on Sunday as originally scheduled.
Leah Edwards had the top score for WKU in the first round, shooting 3-over par for a score of 75, putting her in a tie for 33rd place. Through 11 holes in the second round, Edwards is 4-over.
Sydney Hackett shot a 77 (+5) in the first round, putting her in a tie for 48th place. Through 11 holes of the second round, Hackett bounced back with a 2-under score so far.
Grace Frei also shot a 77 (+5) in the first round, putting her in a tie for 48th place. She is 5-over through 11 holes in round two.
Nina McMurtrey carded an 81 (+9) in the first round and is even through 11 holes in the second round.
Kaylee Dwyer posted an 83 (+11) for the first round and is 5-over through the first 11 holes of the second round.
Reagan Ramage withdrew from the tournament due to illness.
The Lady Toppers will conclude Round 2 of the tournament on Saturday once the rain moves out of the area and then close out the tournament with Round 3 on Sunday.
