Anthony Davis

Bowling Green’s Anthony Davis hasn’t had the luxury of playing like a freshman this season.

Davis is too important for the Purples, who rely on the talented freshman for scoring, rebounding and lock-down defense on the basketball floor. Davis continues to provide, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding as Bowling Green has won seven straight games.

Davis scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed seven boards in the Purples’ 72-68 home win against Apollo, then had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds at Allen County-Scottsville on Monday.

“I just got hot and felt like I couldn’t miss,” Davis said of the Apollo game. “My teammates kept getting me the ball and I just kept knocking down my shots.”
