Maddie Davenport

Maddie Davenport provided the spark to get the Bowling Green Lady Purples’ offense going in Monday’s 51-28 win over Greenwood.

The junior guard scored seven out of BG’s first 10 points – finishing the night with 10 points total to help the Lady Purples secure the top seed in the District 14 Tournament later this month.

Davenport said she was doing a part to help BG get the win.

“We knew this was going to be a big game coming in,” Davenport said. “We knew we had to be focused and get the job done.”

The Lady Purples are scheduled to play at South Warren at 6 p.m. on Friday in the final district game of the regular season.
