Morris scores 38 for ACS in win

Allen County-Scottsville junior guard Avery Morris scored 38 points to lead the host Lady Patriots to an 84-73 girls’ basketball win against Macon County (Tennessee) on Monday night.

Morris had 32 points at halftime and connected on six 3-pointers in the win. She also tallied five assists, five steals and three rebounds.

Debora Patrick added a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Addy Law also scored in double digits with 15 points and notched three assists.

ACS (14-5) was slated to host Cumberland County on Tuesday.

Barren County 63, Cumberland County 49

Mahalia Burton and Addy Slagle scored 17 points apiece to boost homestanding Barren County to a 63-49 win against Cumberland County on Monday.

Shelby Byrd chipped in with 13 points for the Trojanettes in the win.

Barren County (20-2) was scheduled to visit Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday.

ACS 90, Macon County 84, OT

Kyler Pedigo scored 28 points and pulled down six rebounds to lift homestanding Allen County-Scottsville to a 90-84 overtime win against Macon County (Tennessee) on Monday.

De’Ante Grainger scored 18 points and tallied eight rebounds, and Aiden Grainger also scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds in the win. Tyler Turner scored 12 points and Braden Spears added 11 points for the Patriots.

ACS (8-10) was scheduled to host Cumberland County on Tuesday.

Barren County 65, Cumberland County 60

Kade Hardy scored 25 points to spark host Barren County to a 65-60 win against Cumberland County on Monday.

Weston Shelton also scored in double digits with 14 points and Gavin Nunn added eight points for the Trojans.

Barren County (12-9) was set to visit Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday.
