The Barren County Trojanettes are finding their stride and Shelby Byrd is a big reason why.

The junior guard, who leads Barren County in scoring, poured in a game-high 22 points in a 57-27 win over Bowling Green on Jan. 13. It was just a tick above her season average of 19.5 points, helping the Trojanettes improve to 17-2 on the season.

Byrd said the team has a lot of confidence heading into the final month of the regular season.

“It feels really good, honestly,” Byrd said. “Things are starting to click now. I am so excited to see what the rest of the season holds.”

Barren County plays at Glasgow at 6 p.m. on Friday.
