Morris scores 39 as Lady Pats beat TCC

Allen County-Scottsville junior Avery Morris scored a game-high 29 points to boost the Lady Patriots to a 68-23 girls’ basketball win against visiting Todd County Central on Thursday.

Morris was 14-of-22 from the field, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. The shooting guard also tallied 11 steals, four rebounds and three assists in the win.

Kyra Marr added eight points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Lady Patriots.

ACS visits Bowling Green on Saturday to face the Lady Purples in the State Farm 4th Region Challenge.

Boys

FCA 63, Crittenden County 26

Foundation Christian Academy senior Logan Nix posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the host Falcons to a 63-26 boys’ basketball win against Crittenden County on Thursday night.

Maddox Wilson also scored in double digits with 12 points and totaled four rebounds. Mason Moore finished with nine points and Griffin Lohden had eight points in the win.

FCA (4-1) was slated to visit Metro Christian Academy on Friday in Madison, Tennessee.

ACS 67, TCC 56

Kyler Pedigo notched team highs of 22 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and five steals to pace host Allen County-Scottsville to a 67-56 win against Todd County Central on Thursday.

Braden Spears tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Patriots. Jonah Hamby hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points, Tyler Turner also scored 12 points and totaled seven rebounds and four assists, and Ay’Den Grainger finished with nine points and six rebounds.

ACS (2-2) is at Henderson County on Saturday.

Bluegrass Blazers 68, Russellville 66

Ephraim Wood scored a game-high 24 points, including 19 in the second half, as the visiting Bluegrass Blazers home-school team beat Russellville 68-66 on Thursday.

Baron Wilson added 14 points for the Blazers, including scoring the final go-ahead basket to secure the win.

Grant Brashear also scored in double digits with 12 points, and Bo Hoffman and Macon Graham finished with seven points each in the win.

Russellville (2-2) is home Saturday to face Crittenden County.
