Shelby Johnson, age 40, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

Shelby loved the Lord and enjoyed attending Haven Pentecostal Church since moving to Henderson. She worked in logistics and administration with Hercules Manufacturing Company. Shelby was very involved in supporting the WARM center. She loved to take care of people. Shelby was a kind soul and saw people’s needs and would go the extra mile to help.

Shelby was preceded in death by her father Rick Simmons, maternal grandparents Bobby and Shirley Smith and paternal grandparents E.C. and Mildred Simmons.

Shelby is survived by her husband of 12 years Paul Johnson and their daughter Jacey Johnson both of Henderson, KY and her mother Mary Smith Simmons of Franklin, KY.

Relatives and friends are invited to Shelby’s Life Celebration from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home, 629 S. Green St., Henderson, KY, 42420. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Phil Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
