Baker has served as the school’s assistant principal since 2012, after teaching kindergarten as well as fifth and sixth grades, according to Warren County Public Schools. She has led the Leading Ladies, a leadership program that aims to bolster ladies’ growth emotionally, socially, academically and as leaders; she’s also a WKU Principalship Mentor and has responsibility over certified and classified evaluations, WCPS stated.

“I have appreciated the opportunity to witness Ms. Baker’s growth as an administrator at Bristow over the years,” WCPS Superintendent Rob Clayton said in a statement. “Her commitment to building community partnerships to support Bristow and expand student opportunities will be critical to the continued success of Bristow. Her extensive experience will undoubtedly benefit the school community as she steers Bristow toward continued growth. I have full confidence in her dedication to the faculty, staff, students, parents and Bristow school community.”

Baker said she’s honored and excited.

“My love for the Bristow community runs deep, as I have spent my entire 25-year career serving this community,” she said in a statement. “I have been blessed to serve for the past 12 years as the assistant principal, working beside and learning from the most talented faculty and staff members. I look forward to embarking on this new role and helping Bristow continue to grow and reach new heights.”

Mike Stevenson, previously the principal and interim principal at Warren Central High School, has served as interim principal at Bristow Elementary.
