Lady Dragons win twice at home

Host Warren Central picked up a pair of softball wins Saturday, topping Heritage Christian 7-3 and beating Fort Knox 5-0.
Emma Updegraff went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Lady Dragons against Heritage Christian. Adreana Salvador was 2-for-4 with a double, two stolen bases and an RBI, Mackenzie Rose drove in a run and stole two bases, Shyanne Pasley and DaYana Cofer each notched an RBI and Adrianna Olivencia added a triple in the win.
Salvador pitched six innings of relief to earn the win, allowing just one run off three hits and a walk while striking out 14 batters.
Rose went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in the win against Fort Knox,. Updegraff was 2-for-4, Salvador notched a triple and an RBI, Pasley stole three bases and Olivencia chipped in with a double.
Salvador fired a complete-game shutout for the win, allowing no runs off six hits and one walk while striking out 18 batters.
Warren Central (3-9) is on the road to face Fort Campbell on Monday.
Edmonson County 5, TCC 1
Edmonson County split a pair of games in the Holland Inc. Classic on Saturday, falling 11-0 to host Allen County-Scottsville and beating Todd County Central 5-1.
Against Todd, Edmonson’s Emma Price went 2-for-3 with a double, Jolee Vincent tallied a double and three RBIs, and Emma Davis and Julie Norris each drove in a run.
Norris pitched a complete game for the win, allowing just an unearned run off four hits and a walk while striking out four.
Edmonson County (8-9) hosts Breckinridge County on Monday.
Baseball
Eastern 5, Bowling Green 4
Homestanding Bowling Green fell 5-4 to Louisville Eastern on Saturday.
Evan Schallert went 2-for-2 with a triple, two stolen bases and two runs scored to pace the Purples. James Yarbrough was 2-for-3 with a double, Drew Isenberg drove in two runs, Landon Gilbert had a double and an RBI and Luke Idlett also drove in a run.
Bowling Green (10-6) is on the road to face District 14 rival South Warren on Monday.
